Hey everyone! Since 2011, I’ve been writing and blogging off and on from my website, and I’m changing gears and trying a new platform. Why? While I really like customizing WordPress, I want to streamline how I operate and maintain WordPress sites and I wasn’t diligent keeping up and I wasn’t monetizing my writing as great as possible and enable more modern features (podcasts) that I feel are more complex and finicky on WordPress.

So, instead of scrapping WriteTechie and starting over, I’ll start something different. Also, what you’re gonna find is that I’m splitting my writing into two format topics:

• Features personal/professional views on work, business, wellness, life, travel, culture, tips, tricks, etc. My goal is to show how you can empower yourself living as a better person. You get takeaways from each article and maybe an “aha” moment.

Cyber Communicator by Roger Renteria | Substack: https://cybercommunicator.substack.com

• Features articles on how to stay safe and aware of dangers on the internet. My hope is that you find an uncluttered view of how to navigate the digital world without losing the human in the equation. You’ll get takeaways that you can learn from. (This is my career shift from technical communicator > digital marketer > cybersecurity awareness educator).

I do plan to monetize the Cyber Communicator after some time and I feel that you’ll appreciate the quality work involved with both projects.

Who knows? Maybe I go back to something on WordPress later on, but I need something easier to administer and ways to make money instead of keeping this as hobby.
