STC New Mexico Kachina Chapter
STC NM Kachina Chapter Website – 2012

Site Relaunch: May/June 2012
- Redesigned from static HTML web pages to WordPress
- Customized the existing theme layout to reflect color schemes used in the previous website
- Added Search Engine Optimization through the use of META keywords and page descriptions
- Edited, organized, and updated website content from the previous versions
- Added HTTP 301 Redirects to prevent broken links and HTTP 404 errors

- Migrated the entire website,mySQL database, and email system to a new hosting company
- Shortened email addresses with forwarders from old email addresses to prevent lost messages

- Added private document repository to include chapter operations

New Mexico Tech – Technical Communication Program Website Redesign

- Created as a group collaboration by the Digital Media Design class in the Technical Communication Program
- Produced prototype designs, which included different color schemes, layout designs, and logos
- Conducted audience analysis and usability testing to determine which prototype would become the final deliverable
- Developed a content strategy for each section of the website
